Havenkade Nijmegen

Havenkade is located directly on the Waal in Nijmegen, a living environment consisting of 324 apartments spread over eight buildings. The new varied residential area is also called the 'Tesla' among new-build homes. Sustainable construction was therefore also of great importance. And we are happy to show you that JAZO products fit perfectly with this!

JAZO strives for completely sustainable business operations. The environment, sustainability, energy savings and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are taken into account. As much as possible, JAZO uses maintenance-friendly recyclable materials to limit environmental impact and costs. And of course we also did that at the Havenkade Nijmegen project.

The challenge

On behalf of the construction consortium Klok Trebbe Havenkade vof, JAZO supplied and installed the shielding, access and ventilation for technical areas of the Havenkade. A great assignment for which we at JAZO were able to use our expertise. A building that stands out requires doors and ventilation grilles that are not only functional, but also match the appearance of the building. By exploring the possibilities together with the customer, we quickly came up with a great solution. So let's get started!

Our products

JAZO doors are installed in two of the eight buildings. But that's not the only thing. The HS-27 doors and HD-27 facade cladding - consisting of horizontal blades with both ventilating and non-ventilating parts - are processed in such a way that they completely blend in with the facade. The result? A facade that looks extremely sleek!

Possibilities abound

But there is more... The doors and the right side grille are made of aluminum plank profiles. And to make the technical installation noise-resistant, JAZO baffle dampers have been installed at the bottom of the doors. Ventilating elements were also added where necessary, constructed in accordance with the guidelines of burglar resistance class WK-2. It is clear that we really take technology and the perfect picture into account: In another building we used a different type of grille and aluminum safety ventilation grilles type HS-50 were installed.
